Body Doubling
What is Body Doubling?
Body doubling is a powerful focus technique where another person is present — physically or virtually — while you work.
Their presence creates a sense of structure, accountability, and calm that helps you start and stay on task.
We, humans, are social beings who thrive in groups. Working alongside someone will help most people to see things through.
This approach can be especially useful if you’re neurodivergent (ADHD, ADD), working alone from home, or navigating periods of low energy or motivation.
Who is Body Doubling for?
Body Doubling is ideal for you if:

You often get stuck starting or finishing tasks.

You find it easier to focus when someone else is with you.

You get distracted, overwhelmed, or lose track of time while trying to get something done.

You know what you need to do and how to do it, but can’t seem to get going.
Whether you’re dealing with admin tasks, creative work, decluttering, or daily routines, body doubling can help you shift from intention to action.
But finding body doubling helpful doesn’t mean that you can’t do things on your own.
After a while, body doubling becomes unnecessary. Or it becomes a choice. But it’s worth trying to check whether it can help you get something done.

1. Have the freedom to choose exactly when you want support without having to coordinate or compromise with someone else’s schedule. You book the time that works best for you, when you need it most.
2. Have someone engaged and focused on your achievements.
3. Do whatever you want to do alongside a supportive and encouraging company without fear of judgment.
4. Count on someone who can help you decide the best format and structure for you.
How Does It Work?
1. We begin with a FREE discovery session. During this session, we’ll:
– Check if body doubling is right for you.
– If so, discuss the structure and scope of your sessions based on your specific needs.
2. Then, each session follows a simple flow:
a. We check in briefly to name what you’ll be working on.
b. I set a countdown for the time agreed.
c. I stay with you while you work. We’ll turn off our audio, but not our cameras, unless you feel strongly against it.
d. Once the time is up, we take a minute to reflect: what went well, what shifted, what’s next.
Still, nothing is set in stone. We can try different structures until we find the one that works best for you.
For instance, we can divide the session into time slots with breaks between them.
How Much Does It Cost?
Body doubling sessions are designed to be simple, supportive, and affordable:

Pricing:
a) Monday to Friday, 9AM-5PM (Irish time): €10 per session (1 hour) or €30 for 4 sessions.
b) Monday to Friday, before or after 9AM-5PM (Irish time): €15 per session (1 hour) or €50 for 4 sessions.
c) Weekends: from €20 per session (1 hour) or €70 for 4 sessions, depending on time and day.
Payment must be made in advance to ensure your commitment. Please get in touch to confirm my availability for your desired time.

Video-call format (or audio only) – Google Meet or Zoom.

Frequency: weekly, biweekly, or as needed.
Even though I might be silently working while you’re doing your work, you can interrupt me any time if you need support. And I’ll keep an eye on the clock and on you to make sure you stay focused.
